Getting to Le Vaugrat Campsite
Getting to the Isle of Guernsey can be done by sea or by air. Below we have provided some useful information as to how you can can book your trip to the island. We have also provided some instructions on how to get to our campsite when you are on the Isle of Guernsey.
By Sea
Condor Ferries is the main ferry service provider. The company operates both fast and conventional ferries, with sailings from Poole, Postsmouth & St Malo. Fast ferry crossings from Poole, take around three hours. Direct crossings from St Malo take just over two hours.
If you prefer a more leisurely pace, then the conventional ferry sailing from Portsmouth will undertake the trip in around 6 hours.
Please note that Condor Ferries require all passengers to have photo ID when checking in.
Seasonal sailings are also offered by Manche Iles Express from Dilette, Carteret and Granville in Normandy, France.
By Air
Guernsey is served by a number of airlines with Aurigny and Blue Islands providing flights from a variety of major and regional UK airports. During the season, flights from continental destinations are also often available.
How to Find Us
Once on the island and depending on your mode of transport we have provided some instructions below as to how you can get to Le Vaugrat Campsite.
By Car, Motorhome or Caravan
- From the Harbour (A) head north at the roundabout (B).
- After 1.5 miles (C) bear left before the filter-in-turn, into Vale Avenue.
- At the end of Vale Avenue head straight through the traffic lights and continue along Route Militaire until reaching the Vale Church (D).
- Turn left and follow the road to L’Islet junction (E) (Morrisons Food Hall will be on the left).
- Turn right and follow the coast road for just over half a mile. Turn left (F) into Route de Vaugrat.
Below is a map and route using these directions. This is the best route to follow avoiding narrow lanes that are not suitable for larger vehicles.
By Public Transport
Should you wish to use the bus, please use the routes shown below. You will need to get off at Les Vardes bus stop. If in doubt, ask the driver for Le Vaugrat Campsite. Further information on bus routes can be obtained from buses.gg
