General FAQ
While we accept walk-ins when space is available, to avoid disappointment we strongly recommend booking in advance, especially during the peak season and if an electric hook-up is required.
Check in times are flexible.
On arriving in the Island, we would ask that you please make you way directly to the campsite.
Being a small site, it is not possible to provide a permanently attended reception and if the reception is closed upon your arrival, do not worry, just press the call button at the reception door and someone will be with you.
There is no set time for check out. If your ferry or flight is not leaving until later in the day, we will do our best to allow you to stay on pitch until such time as you need to leave.
We do not take any payment at the time of booking or prior to arrival. Credit card details entered as part of the booking sequence are only held as security.
We ask that payment is made on arrival.
We accept major credit and debit cards and cash payments. Cheques are not accepted.
If you are delayed for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible so that we know not to expect you and can amend your reservation to reflect your delayed arrival.
We are a dog free site and do not accept dogs under any circumstances.
There are a variety of places to eat or obtain takeaway food within walking distance of the site. Please see our ‘Out and About’ page for further information.
Bus stops with regular, well-connected services are just a 5 minute walk from the campsite.
Port Grat Beach, a hidden gem, is just a 5-minute walk from the campsite, offering stunning coastal views and a peaceful spot to relax. Other beaches and bays around the coast are just a short journey and easily accessible.
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi available across the site.
Camping FAQ
Yes, some of the lower fields offer electric hook-ups for tents, motorhomes or caravans. We recommend booking early, as availability is limited.
The electric hookups are 10amp and use the standard Europlug as illustrated below.
Yes, vehicles may be parked next to your accommodation at no extra cost.
You are welcome to bring your own barbecue or fire pit, but please ensure it is raised off the ground to prevent damage to the grass.
There are permanent Barbeques around the site which are available for use. Cooking utensils can be hired from the shop and charcoal packs are available to purchase.
Campfires are NOT permitted.
We don’t have defined pitches, so you can choose a spot that suits your needs. We offer plenty of space, especially for larger tents.
Yes, some of our fields offer shaded areas under trees, perfect for pitching your tent and staying cool during the warmer months.
Provided there is sufficient space, you should be able to pitch next to friends.
Glamping FAQ
Our fully equipped glamping tents come with beds and bedding, tables and chairs, gas cooking facilities, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, and an LED lamp. Just bring your towels!
Unfortunately, there is no electricity in the glamping tents. However, the communal areas, including the TV lounge, have charging points for your devices.
Our six-berth glamping tents typically accommodate up to four people, with an option to add a fifth guest. Cots are available for infants at no extra charge.
Yes, glamping tents are available for short stays, including weekends. Just book your stay during the summer months, as glamping is available in June, July, and August.
Caravans & Motorhomes FAQ
Yes, we welcome both caravans and motorhomes at Le Vaugrat Campsite. A free permit is required, which we will issue once your reservation is confirmed.
The maximum length for motorhomes is 9.45 metres, and the combined length of caravans and towing vehicles must not exceed 12.19 metres.
Yes, we have electric hook-ups available in our main fields. Please book early to ensure availability during your stay.
Yes, awnings are allowed, and there’s no extra charge for setting them up alongside your caravan or motorhome.
Yes, a permit is required to bring your motorhome or caravan to Guernsey. We will issue this free of charge once your booking is confirmed.
Campsite Facilities FAQ
We offer two toilet blocks, a shower block, baby changing facilities, accessible toilets, laundry services, a TV lounge, and free Wi-Fi. There’s also an on-site shop for essential supplies.
Yes, we provide washing, drying, and ironing facilities for our guests. There’s also a designated area for washing dishes.
Yes, our on-site shop stocks essential supplies such as food, drinks, toiletries, and firewood for your convenience.
Absolutely. Our facilities are cleaned multiple times daily to ensure they are always in top condition for our guests.
Yes, the TV lounge has charging points for mobile phones, tablets, and other devices, and they’re available free of charge.
We have a chemical disposal point and a drive over grey waste emptying point.
A range of pushbikes and electric bikes are available for hire via a third-party supplier who will deliver and collect the bikes from site.

We have 13amp sockets available which can be used to charge electric bikes. These accept standard three pin UK plugs and are available to use free of charge.
We do not allow electric cars to be charged on site. The nearest charging points are located at La Crocq Pier, St Sampson. Charging stations are also available in the main car parks in St Peter Port.
